Taco Bout Love | 4 Year Wedding Anniversary Celebration

I never thought I’d find someone who looks at me the way I look at tacos…. Then came you.

This past weekend we celebrated our love for each other (and tacos) in our humble abode with a close set of family and friends. Guests had a great time taking photos at our DIY taco-themed photo backdrop and playing Loteria. Once Anthony was done grilling up the fajitas, everyone attacked the taco bar. After we finished up the main course, it was time to move on to dessert! We supplied fruits, limes, chile, and chamoy for an epic fruit cup station. If that wasn’t enough spice for ya, we had an endless supply of Mexican candies. Needless to say, everyone left with full stomachs that night.

DIY Wedding Anniversary Ideas

When thinking of a theme for our anniversary, I immediately knew we had to go with something based off of food. Let’s be honest, we’re two fat kids in love and these two fatties love to chow down! But what kind of food??? After a quick google search for “anniversary party themes,” I was inundated with a bunch of generic mush and about to give up UNTIL I got hungry. Guess what I wanted: tacos. Boom! Dilemma solved. The hunt for Taco themed décor had pretty slim pickings, so I decided just to make everything myself! (it’s so much more fun that way anyway.) If you know me, then you know one of my personal philosophies is “Why spend $5 on something when you can waste 5 hours and make it yourself for FREE!” Definitely a labor of love, but well worth it since everyone commented on the awesome taco-themed decorations.

Taco Bout Love | Family, Friends, Fur Babies

Even Bulbasaur took part in the taco festivities with his adorable “Taco Bout Awesome” tee that we got from H-E-B that perfectly fit the matching-T-Shirts that we had bought for ourselves! You may notice Sadie Mae is absent from the picture. That party pooper refused to keep her sombrero on for more than a second! Drinks were served, prizes were won, and memories were made.

We’d like to extend a HUGE thank you to all of our friends and family that came out and celebrated our 4 years of marriage and for all the amazing wedding anniversary gifts! ¡Sin ti, nada de esto seria posible! (Without you all none of this would be possible.) Even if you weren’t able to attend in person, we are still thankful for the role you have all played in our journey as a family. Feel free to drop by the casa sometime for an impromptu fiesta (we’ve got plenty of beer left over). If you would love to learn more about how Anthony and I met and got where we are today you should definitely check it out on our page, Highschool Sweethearts to Marketing Empire!
